There are no specific undergraduate major requirements in order to be considered for the program. However, we require for you to complete at least two science subjects, including but not limited to, one year of biology with lab and one year of general chemistry with lab.

However, it is preferable that you have completed the following courses: one year of biology with lab, one year of general chemistry with lab, one year of organic chemistry with lab, one year of math, one year of physics with lab and one year of English. In addition, we prefer that the applicants have also completed courses in the areas of humanities and social sciences.
The MPH program is multidisciplinary in nature and attracts graduates from biology, chemistry, medicine and nursing, sociology, psychology, anthropology, business administration, public policy, communications and education, statistics and math, engineering and many other related fields.
Public Health includes all of these fields and others- you are invited to apply if you have an interest in an area of public health and have a degree in any of these fields or related fields.
A four-year degree is required. Courses in statistics and health/biology are not required but may increase your opportunities to be accepted. Professional or volunteer experiences working in public health or a health area also may increase your likelihood of acceptance but are also not required for application to the program.

A clinical or basic science degree is required. Prior experience working in a research or hospital laboratory will be advantageous but it is not a mandatory requirement.
